Why treat cavities with the laser instead of traditional methods?

The classic drill removes decay mechanically, through direct contact, vibration and heat — hence the discomfort and the need for anaesthesia. The dental laser works without contact: the beam selectively vaporises only decayed tissue.

The advantages are major: no pain in most cases, no anaesthesia, more healthy tissue preserved and a sterilised cavity where the filling bonds better and the risk of secondary decay drops significantly.

For children and patients with dental anxiety the difference is transformative: the dental visit becomes a calm, trauma-free experience.
